Meet Cole Barbeau

Cole Barbeau is an Architectural Intern (AIT) based in ICON’s Grand Forks office. A Grand Forks native, Cole graduated from Dunwoody College in May with a degree in Architecture. He brings a strong local perspective and a passion for thoughtful design to the team.
Outside the office, Cole enjoys cooking, fishing, and camping—especially during the summer months.

What's your name, and what do you do here at ICON? My name is Cole Barbeau and I am an architect in training.
What’s your favorite part of working at ICON? My favorite part about working at Icon is working on something different every day.
How do you stay motivated and keep a positive attitude at work? I stay motivated by knowing every project is different, so I'll be learning new things every day.
Tell us something unique or fun about yourself that most people don't know. A few of my hobbies include fishing, camping, and cooking.


What’s your go-to productivity hack or work routine? To stay productive, I drink lots of water and coffee
What’s one of your proudest achievements here at ICON? One of my proudest achievements is how much I have learned so far.
Who or what inspires you, both inside and outside of work? What inspires me is knowing the projects being done and helping and making communities better.
What’s your favorite team tradition or work moment? Jam and turkey sandwich

If you could describe your work style in three words, what would they be? Persistent, Adaptable, Organized
What's one piece of advice you’d give to someone starting out in your role? Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
