ICON designed a new facility for the city of Crosby, North Dakota that has become the hub for community activity in this growing area of North Dakota. Prior to this project, the city did not have an ice facility. ICON worked within a very limited budget to deliver a building that serves the community and surrounding areas with functional and flexible space. The sheets of ice for both curling and hockey operate off one ice compressor, allowing for budgetary and operational savings. Phase I of the project included ice sheets, a community room, and a seating capacity of 1,200. Phase II of the project is currently in the fundraising stage and will include an attached waterpark, gymnastics center, and wellness center.
