The $19.5 million facility serves as the training center for UND Athletics programs and is nearly 200,000 square feet. It features a full-length football field and an eight-lane 300-meter Super X Mondo track, which is the only track on the planet to have the Super X surface and inlaid lane lines.
The High Performance Center is used by UND Athletics programs, including baseball, softball and soccer.
All funds for the project were raised by private funds. Individuals and groups that donated to the project are honored throughout the facility.
Future additions to the UND Athletics High Performance Center will include spectator seating, coaches offices and locker rooms for UND football and track & field, a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning area, a student-athlete academic center, and sports medicine space for all UND Athletics teams. The facility will also serve the greater Grand Forks community by offering a host site for youth athletics camps and college and youth track and field meets.
